This case study showcases how Menlo Micro addressed testing challenges in the development of their RF and DC switches utilizing Rogers Radix™ printable dielectric fixtures from Fortify. Blocked by test signal interference and fixture manufacturing struggles, the test engineering team needed a solution to meet a difficult requirement combination of dielectric, thermal, electrical, and mechanical properties. The resulting fixtures, manufactured by Fortify, offered the low-loss dielectric properties the test team needed, while meeting tolerances not typically seen from traditionally machined dielectrics. Thanks to the fixtures’ performance, Menlo Micro successfully validated the performance of their switches, alleviating a product development bottleneck and enabling them to push forward with design iterations and product guidelines.
