Fortify is focused on two priorities as we deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. We must keep our communities and families safe and we must continue to understand how to best leverage our resources to support the medical community’s needs for PPE and devices to fight the virus.
Fortify has followed state guidelines with remote work where practical and proper social distancing in the office and shop for the past few weeks. With new Massachusetts state restrictions going into effect on 3/24/20, we will step up our efforts even further. Fortify is currently engaged with the Boston medical community and working to print and mold devices and components to help fight and contain the Virus. A task force assigned to support this essential project will continue to work at the Fortify facility. Other employees are instructed to comply with the “stay at home advisory” protocol and do their part to stop the spread of the virus. We will continue to monitor the situation and follow guidelines put in place at the federal and local level.
Our task force that is in daily communication and collaboration with local medical industry leaders. Fortify’s resources range from 3D print capacity to design engineering expertise to machine operations. As the task team identifies opportunities, Fortify will act aggressively and responsibly to share our resources. We continue to be inspired by the swift action of the additive manufacturing industry, and are looking to support the fight to the best of our abilities.
Below is a list of groups Fortify is collaborating with, and other resources where the 3D printing industry is making a difference. We are proud of the collective effort across our industry and remain vigilant in how we can play our part.
