From the early days at Fortify we have embraced the idea that Digital Tooling resin is different than Tool Steel. Using this simple fact, we have built out an entire Injection Molding workflow that optimizes for printed mold tooling rather than steel tooling. Along the way we have been routinely asked countless variations about how parts molded with DT molds compare to parts made with Tool steel. For years we have pointed to internal data to answer these questions knowing that to really eliminate any doubt would require 3rd party testing. Today we are pleased to share that we have run this 3rd party testing with a prominent resin supplier and the results can speak for themselves!
